#21 Singing the Game
Throughout the day we often make quite a lot of expressive sounds as we support many of our activities with voice. For example, to imitate other sounds, to illustrate a movement, to express joy, surprise, dissapointment or during a special effort. These sounds often lead to spontaneous good use of the voice, even in those who would otherwise not be inclined to sing. You can use these expressive sounds as a trigger to get from there to real singing. For example, imitating each other’s voices can be a good exercise to warm up and even to get over your fear of singing together.

#17 Cradle (of) Art
Connecting with newborn babies is all about musicality. Playing with our voice, gestures and mimicry, the baby and the infant-caregiver communicate the most important aspects of life – namely belonging and relations. The melody of our voice, the pulse and rhythm, the dynamic of human body behavior will give sense to the little baby long before they understand verbal communication. These musical conversations are our most natural way to express as humans. The baby becomes an equal partner using the innate musicality to imitate but also to create aspects of meaning playing with sound, melody and rhythm. The baby not only imitates in these situations but is also taking initiatives using it’s musicality to explore aspects of human companionship

#14 Blooming Ditty
A pentatonic melody is created when you play only the black keys of a piano. It doesn’t even matter which key you start on. Such melodies are found in cultures around the world, even when people just sing without a piano nearby. Everyone understands how it works, and will be able to add their own variations or fragments. Until it becomes a new tune, or even a whole composition.
